Speeches

Today we started our inform speeches - it is so much fun to share our talents and wisdom.  And the props make it even better.  I can see a lot of hard work and practice went into these.  Job well done. What do you like about them?  Any ideas for improvement?

Shredderman

We started a new book in class today, Shredderman, Book One - The Secret Identity by Wendelin Van Draanen.  We haven't read much but we've already met an unforgettable and undesirable character, Bubba Bixby.  Tell me what you think of him and why.  And make a prediction that involves Bubba or the narrator, Nolan.

Fifth grade so far

Well, we've been back in school for a WEEK!  Can't believe it.  I'd like to start this blog as a place we can converse and reflect about the great learning in class.  I can't wait to see what we all come up with.  Let the conversations begin!
